Peer Connection Center

The Peer Connection Center is a welcoming drop‑in space where individuals can access recovery support, practical resources, and compassionate guidance from trained peers with lived experience. Our team helps community members navigate next steps, build confidence, and connect to the services that support long‑term wellness.

At the Center, visitors can:

  • Meet with trained peer support navigators for one‑on‑one encouragement, goal‑setting, and recovery navigation
  • Use our computer lab—generously supported by M&T Bank—to complete applications, search for jobs, build résumés, and access online resources
  • Get help with benefit applications, including SNAP, Medicaid, disability, and other supports
  • Explore housing resources and receive assistance with referrals and applications
  • Connect to workforce development partners for training, employment pathways, and career readiness
  • Access basic needs support, including community resources, referrals, and information
  • Join peer‑led groups and activities that build connection, confidence, and recovery capital
  • Drop in anytime during open hours for a safe, judgment‑free environment where people are met with dignity and respect

The Peer Connection Center is designed to reduce barriers, increase access, and make sure no one has to navigate recovery or life challenges alone. Every service is free, voluntary, and centered on the individual’s goals.

12‑Step and Other Recovery Meetings

We provide a safe, welcoming space for 12‑Step and peer‑led recovery meetings every single day, offering connection, accountability, and community for people at every stage of their recovery journey. Attendance averages 800–1,000 participants each week, making our center one of the most active recovery meeting hubs on the Delmarva Peninsula.

Our meeting schedule includes a wide range of fellowships and formats, such as:

  • Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
  • Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
  • SMART Recovery
  • Additional peer‑led and community‑led meetings throughout the week

With 34 meetings per week, individuals can find support in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Whether someone is new to recovery, returning to meetings, or looking to strengthen their network, our center offers a consistent, judgment‑free environment where people can show up exactly as they are and find community

Workshops for Life Skills

We offer free, practical life‑skills workshops designed to strengthen confidence, stability, and long‑term success for individuals and families in recovery. These sessions are led by knowledgeable facilitators and community partners who break down complex topics into simple, actionable steps.

Our workshops focus on essential skills such as:

  • Financial Literacy — budgeting, banking basics, managing debt, and building financial confidence (partnering with Hebron Savings Bank)
  • Parenting & Family Strengthening — communication skills; positive discipline; school success; early intervention & prevention for drugs, sexuality, and violence; and nurturing healthy family relationships (utilizing evidence-based curriculum from Active Parenting Publishers)
  • Credit Repair & Credit Building — understanding credit scores, disputing errors, and creating a plan to rebuild credit (partnering with HSB)
  • Employment Readiness — résumés, interview skills, workplace expectations, and career pathways (partnering with local workforce professionals)
  • Home Buying & Housing Preparedness — understanding the home‑buying process, preparing financially, and exploring local housing resources (partnering with Salisbury Neighborhood Housing)

These workshops help participants build the knowledge and tools needed to move toward independence, stability, and long‑term recovery. All sessions are open to the community and designed to meet people where they are.

Social & Recovery Events

We believe recovery should include joy, connection, and opportunities to build community. Throughout the year, we host a variety of clean and sober social events that bring people together in a safe, welcoming environment. These gatherings strengthen recovery capital, reduce isolation, and create space for fun and fellowship.

Our annual and seasonal events include:

  • Barbecues & Cookouts
  • Dances & Themed Socials
  • Holiday Parties
  • Speaker Jams & Recovery Celebrations

We are excited to welcome the community to our Annual Guest Appreciation BBQ on Sunday, May 31, 2026 — a day dedicated to gratitude, good food, and celebrating the individuals and families who make our recovery community strong.
